(FAQ) Frequently Asked Questions?
Do I need experience to start the Class D or Class G license course?
No experience is required. However, for the companion class G license training course, the student must have a class D license or be enrolled in the class D course. All training is provided by licensed instructors, and we guide you through every step.
How do I register for a class?
Choose your location or online class, select a date (Sechedule), add to cart and complete the quick registration form. Your confirmation email includes your order number that reserves your seat. For online you will receive an email with instructions to set your profile on the weekend prior to class.
What do I need to bring to class?
A valid ID and any documents listed in your confirmation email. For class G license course, please bring your class D license or the confirmation that you are enrolled in our class D course. Additionally, you may want to bring a light sweater and comfortable casual business like clothing.
How long does it take to get certified?
Class D in-person is 40 hours (4 days). Class G is 28 hours 3-days. Online Class D is (5 days). Certificates are issued upon successful completion of your exam.
Are your courses state‑approved?
Yes. All training meets or exceeds Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services requirements for Security Officer and Florida Concealed Weapon Firearms Licensing.
Do you offer job placement assistance
Yes. We provide guidance, referrals, and connections to security agencies hiring statewide as they become available to us by the respective agencies.
Can I take the Class D course online?
Yes. We offer a live‑instructor online Class D option that is fully state‑approved and accepted statewide. This course is the one offered by all Florida licensed schools. It is a 5-day course Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Requires the student to be in front of the camera during the entire training on their computer, laptop or tablet.
